NOTE: To erase diagnostic trouble codes with a scan tool,
follow the directions given by the tools manufacturer.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery for 1 minute or
more, then reattach it.
- Turn ON the ignition switch and read the diagnostic trouble
codes checking that a normal code is output.
