Instrument Panel

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

NOTE: The letters below correspond with the screws on the illustration.

CAUTION
As you remove the floor console make sure it does not hit the SRS-ECU.

  1. Remove the floor console assembly and front pillar trim.
  2. Remove the column cover and the hood lock release handle.
  3. Remove the parking brake release handle.
  4. Remove the instrument panel lower cover assembly on the left side.
  5. Remove the key cylinder panel.
  6. Remove the instrument panel ECU.
  7. Remove the meter bezel, the combination meter, and the center air outlet assembly.
  8. Remove the ashtray.
  9. Remove the air control panel assembly.
  10. Remove the undercover assembly.
  11. Remove the glovebox assembly and the glovebox outer case.
  12. Remove the passenger side airbag module.
  13. Remove the console side cover assembly.
  14. Remove the floor carpet rear reinforcement.
  15. Remove the harness connector and the plug.
  16. Remove the steering column mounting bolt.
  17. Remove the instrument panel and audio unit.

To Install:

NOTE: The letters below correspond with the screws on the illustration.

  1. Install the audio unit and instrument panel.
  2. Install the steering column mounting bolt.
  3. Install the plug and the harness connector.
  4. Install the floor carpet rear reinforcement.
  5. Install the console side cover assembly.
  6. Install the passenger side airbag module.
  7. Install the glovebox outer case and the glovebox assembly.
  8. Install the undercover assembly and the air control panel assembly.
  9. Install the ashtray.
  10. Push the center air outlet assembly into the opening at the rear of the panel facing and fasten it using the clips the top and bottom of the assembly.
  11. Install the combination meter and the meter bezel.
  12. Install the instrument panel ECU and the key cylinder panel.
  13. Install the instrument panel lower cover assembly on the left side.
  14. Install the parking brake release handle.
  15. Install the hood lock release handle.
  16. Install the column cover.

    CAUTION
    As you install the floor console make sure it does not hit the SRS-ECU.

  17. Install the floor console assembly and front pillar trim.
