Parking Brake Cable

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Remove floor console.
2. To remove park brake cable trunion, loosen the park brake cable adjusting nut to the end of the cable rod as shown in the illustration. Unclip the park brake cable trunions from the equalizer and remove the cable from the body retainers.
3. Remove the park brake cable actuator lever eyelet by pushing the cable towards the rear of the vehicle to release the park brake cable eyelet from the actuator lever.
4. Remove the interior park brake cable retaining clamp bolts and the retaining clamp.
5. Remove the exterior park brake cable clamp bolts.
6. Remove the grommets.
7. Remove the cables.

To Install:

1. Install the cables.
2. Install the grommets.
3. Install the exterior park brake cable clamp bolts.
4. Install the interior park brake cable retaining clamp and bolts.
5. Install the park brake cable actuator lever eyelet.
6. Install the park brake cable trunion.
