Starter Motor

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Negative battery cable
   • Engine under cover, if equipped
   • Front engine mount heat protector
   • Starter cover
   • Wires
   • Starter motor

   To install:

3. Install or connect the following:
   • Starter motor and cover. Torque the bolts to 20-25 ft. lbs. (26-33 Nm).
   • Wires
   • Front engine mount heat protector. Torque the nut to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
   • Engine under cover, if equipped
   • Negative battery cable
