To Disarm:
Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait a t least 60 seconds before performing any work on or near the air bag system. The SRS system is designed to retain enough voltage to deploy the air bag for a short time even after the battery has been disconnected.
To Arm:
Reconnect the battery after work has been performed and check for air bag system related diagnostic codes. Repair as necessary.
