A/C-Heater Control Unit

Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Remove the dashboard center panel and under cover.
2. Remove the audio unit.
3. Remove the console and left floor duct.
4. Refer to the following illustrations for heater and A/C control service.

To Install:

1. Perform the following to connect the air outlet changeover cable;
   • Adjust the air outlet changeover control knob on the heater control to the defroster position.
   • Set the air outlet changeover damper link of the heater/cooler unit to the defroster position as shown and then connect the cable to the link pin.
   • Push the outer cable in the direction so that there is no looseness, and then secure it with the clip.

2. Perform the following to connect the air mix damper lever cable;
   • Adjust the temperature control knob on the heater control to the maximum hot position.
   • Set the air mix damper lever of the heater/cooler unit to the maximum hot position as shown in the illustration, and then connect the cable to the lever pin.
   • Push the outer cable in the direction so that there is no looseness, and then secure it with the clip.

3. Install the center console and left floor duct.
4. Install the audio unit.
5. Install the center panel.
