DRAIN AND REFILL

  1. Make sure the wheels are chocked. Install a drain pan under the drain plug, located in the bottom of the differential housing. Place a drain pan under the differential unit to catch the fluid from the drain plug.
  2. If there is dirt or build up around the plugs, use a wire brush to remove the dirt. This will help keep contaminents out of the differential fluid.
  3. Remove the fill plug from the side of the unit, making sure to retain or replace the fill plug washer.
  4. Remove the drain plug, keeping it in your fingers.

  5. When the fluid has drained completely, replace the drain plug, making sure the gasket is retained on the plug.
  6. Add fluid until it runs out of the filler plug hole, and install the filler plug.
