INSPECTION

NOTE: Check the valve after warming up the engine

1. Remove the air filter.

2. Start the engine and open and close the throttle valve quickly to check MCV operation and air suction noise.
   1. While operating the throttle lever, the MCV should pop out once and quickly close and an air suction noise should be heard.
   2. With the engine idling, the MCV should remain closed and no noise should be present.
3. If the MCV does not pass these requirements, the unit should be replaced.
