Brake Disc (Rotor)

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle on jackstands.
  2. Remove the wheel(s).
  3. Remove the rear brake caliper and mount (brake assembly) following procedures given previously in this section, but with out disconnecting the hydraulic line. Suspend the assembly with wire; do not allow the unit to hang by the brake line.
  4. Make mating marks to show the relationship between the brake disc and hub; pull the disc off the hub.
  5. Slide the rear brake disc onto the rear axle lug studs so that the matchmarks are aligned.
  6. Install the rear brake caliper to the disc and brake mount — refer to the procedures found in this section.
