AFS OPERATION TEST
PRECONDITIONS BEFORE THE OPERATION TEST
When all the conditions below are satisfied, AFS operation test can be performed.
- Stop the vehicle.
- Pull the parking brake lever. (The parking brake switch is in the ON state.)
- Set the shift lever <M/T> or selector lever <A/T and CVT> to the position other than the reverse position.
- Perform the operation test within 15 minutes after turning the ignition switch from OFF to ON.
- Turn the lighting switch to the HEAD or AUTO position. (The headlamp relay LO is ON.)
- The rotation angle of the steering wheel is 25° or less from the neutral position.
OPERATION TEST
- When the steering wheel is turned toward either right or left to 45° or more from the neutral position, check if the bending lamp of the relevant side is turned ON.
- When the rotation angle of steering wheel from the neutral position is returned to 25° or less, check that the bending lamp is turned OFF.
PROHIBITION CONDITIONS OF OPERATION TEST
If any of the conditions below are satisfied, AFS operation test will be prohibited.
- After the ignition switch is turned ON from OFF, 15 minutes or more has been elapsed.
- The vehicle is running.
- Set the shift lever <M/T> or selector lever <A/T and CVT> to the reverse position.
- A trouble occurs in AFS.
