noteIf a diagnosis code is set, the "status indication by diagnosis code" informs users whether a mechanical problem currently exists (current trouble) or whether it existed before but normal operation has been restored (past trouble).

HOW TO READ DIAGNOSIS CODE
cautionBefore connecting or disconnecting the M.U.T.-IIISE, turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position <except vehicles with Keyless Operation System (KOS)> or put the power supply mode is OFF <vehicles with Keyless Operation System (KOS)>.

Connect the M.U.T.-IIISE to the 16-pin diagnosis connector, and read the diagnosis code.
noteFor details on how to use the M.U.T.-IIISE, refer to the "M.U.T.-IIISE User’s Manual."
1. Ensure that the ignition switch is at the "LOCK" (OFF) position <except vehicles with KOS> or put the power supply mode is OFF <vehicles with KOS>.

5. Connect the V.C.I.-Lite main harness A to the diagnosis connector of the vehicle.
note
  • When the V.C.I.-Lite is connected to the diagnosis connector, the V.C.I.-Lite indicator lamp will be illuminated in a green colour.
  • If the V.C.I.-Lite indicator lamp does not light in green, check the power supply and earth line of the diagnosis connector.
