1. Start the engine and allow it to warm up until the temperature of the coolant reaches 80 °C to 90 °C.

Remove the engine oil filler cap.
3. Remove the engine oil pan drain plug to drain engine oil.
4. Install a new engine oil pan drain plug gasket and then tighten the engine oil pan drain plug to the specified torque.Tightening torque: 39 ± 5 N·m
5. Refill with specified quantity of engine oil.Engine oil Specification:Engine oil should be meet all the following conditions.
- API SN Classification
- Calcium content<=2,000ppm
- Base number>=6.37mgKOH/g
Recommended Engine oil:
Mitsubishi Genuine Engine oil SN/GF-5
Total quantity (Includes volume inside engine oil filter and engine oil cooler): 4.3 L
| note | Select engine oil of the proper SAE viscosity number according to the atmospheric temperature. |
6. Install the engine oil filler cap.
7. Let the engine run for a few minutes.
8. Stop the engine, and then check the engine oil level using the engine oil level gauge after a few minutes.
