Inspection Procedure 2: The Engine Warning Lamp Remains Illuminating and Never Goes Out
 
 
 
 
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
  • Engine-ECU has detected failed sensor or failed actuator. Or failure is possibly caused by malfunction of combination meter.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSE
  • Failed combination meter
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check the trouble symptom.
Does the trouble symptom persist?
Check combination meter system (Refer to GROUP 54A - Combination Meter - Trouble System Chart ).
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
