Code No. C2300: Left actuator malfunction
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
The diagnosis code will be set under any of the following conditions:
  • The system detects that the electric motor in the electric parking brake actuator (LH) fails or its gear is locked.
  • The system detects that the electric motor or the gear in the electric parking brake actuator (LH) runs freely.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of the electric parking brake actuator assembly (LH)
  • Malfunction of the electric parking brake ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. M.U.T.-IIISE data list
Check the following data list (Refer to ).
  • Item No.13: Left actuator +B line status
  • Item No.19: Left motor current (adjusted)
  • Item No.79: RL wheel actuator current
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Replace the electric parking brake actuator assembly (LH) (Refer to ).
 
STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set.
(1) Erase the diagnosis code.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (OFF) position.
(3) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(4) Move the selector lever to the P position.
(5) Operate the electric parking brake switch to lock and then release the electric parking brake.
(6) Check if the diagnosis code is set.
Is diagnosis code No. C2300 set?
Replace the electric parking brake ECU (Refer to ).
This diagnosis is complete.
