Inspection Procedure 6: The accelerator pedal-interlinked release function does not work.
 
 
 
 
OPERATION
The system will release the electric parking brake without operating the electric parking brake switch when you start the vehicle by depressing the accelerator pedal.
 
 
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
This trouble symptom assumes that M.U.T.-IIISE CAN bus diagnosis result is OK and no diagnosis code is et.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of the seat belt switch (driver's side)
  • Malfunction of the combination meter
  • Malfunction of the electric parking brake ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check the seat belt switch (driver's side).
Check the seat belt switch by observing the seat belt reminder.
  • Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Go to Step 2.
Troubleshoot the combination meter. (Refer to GROUP 54A - Combination Meter .).
