Code No.B2464 Meter information SW sticking
cautionBefore replacing the combination meter, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
 
 
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGEMENT
If the combination meter detects the multi-information display switch pressed state for 60 seconds or more continuously with the ignition switch at the ON position and diagnosis code No. U1190 is not set, diagnosis code No. B2464 is set.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of multi-information display switch
  • Malfunction of combination meter
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. multi-information display switch check
Check the multi-information display switch. Refer to .
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Replace the multi-information display switch.
 
STEP 2. Check of short to earth circuit in MODE line between combination meter connector and multi-information display switch connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
 
STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the combination meter.
(1) Erase the diagnosis code.
(2) Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(3) Check if diagnosis code is set.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the combination meter.
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
