STEP 1. Check the state of the fin antenna.
Is the antenna assembled?
Go to Step 2.
Assemble shark fin antenna base (fin antenna).
STEP 2. Check to see if inspections are taking place is an area exposed to special electric fields.
Is the reception area exposed to special electric fields?
Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 4.
STEP 3. Move the vehicle and check the radio.
Move the vehicle to a good reception area that is not exposed to special electric fields.Is the check result normal?
Diagnosis complete.
Go to Step 4.
STEP 4. Check if there is any damage to the fin antenna and antenna feeder.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 5.
Replace the shark fin antenna base (fin antenna) and antenna feeder.
STEP 5. Check the connection of the antenna feeder’s plug and radio and CD player.
Is the antenna feeder’s plug thoroughly connected to the radio and CD player?
Go to Step 6.
Thoroughly connect the antenna feeder’s plug and the radio and CD player.
STEP 6. Check of short or open circuit in ANT+ line between radio and CD player connector and antenna amplifier connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 7.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 7. Substitute a known good radio and CD player, and check the trouble symptom.
Is the check result normal?
Replace the radio and CD player.
Either repair or replace the shark fin antenna base (fin antenna).
