2018 / ECLIPSE CROSS / EC - Workshop Manual
54 -CHASSIS ELECTRICAL > 54A-CHASSIS ELECTRICAL > ETACS > INPUT SIGNAL PROCEDURES > THE COLUMN SWITCH SIGNAL IS NOT SENT TO THE ETACS-ECU.
Inspection Procedure 11: The column switch signal is not received.
| caution | The steering wheel sensor is incorporated in the column switch assembly. When you replace the switch, you must always calibrate the sensor to make the ASC-ECU learn the neutral position of the steering wheel (Refer to GROUP 35C - On-vehicle service - Steering wheel sensor calibration ). |
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
The ETACS-ECU receives the column switch signal via the LIN communication. If the column switch or LIN bus line fails, the lights and wiper/washer do not work normally.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of column switch assembly (Integrated with steering wheel sensor)
- Faulty LIN bus line
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
1. Check M.U.T.-IIISE diagnosis code
