cautionBefore replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the earth circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
If the front fog lamp do not function, the ETACS-ECU will set diagnosis code No. B1E2C.
 
 
JUDGEMENT CRITERIA
Diagnosis code No. B1E2C will be set if the ETACS-ECU detects a short to power supply between the front fog amp relay and the ETACS-ECU.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check of short to power supply circuit in FOGY line between the front fog lamp relay connector and ETACS-ECU connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
 
STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
Check again if the diagnosis code No.B1E2C is set in the ETACS-ECU.
(1) Erase the diagnosis code.
(2) Turn on the front fog lamp.
(3) Check if diagnosis code is set.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the ETACS-ECU.
