caution
  • Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
 
 
OPERATION
The FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU monitors temperature at the sensor.
 
 
DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITION
This diagnosis code is set when the abnormality below is detected:
  • The temperature which the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU detects at the sensor is below -40°C or over 100°C.
note
  • The system does not monitor any malfunction when the FCM and the LDW is deactivated.
  • The area in the proximity of the sensor is too hot (e.g; parked under blazing sun).
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • The FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU remains protected.
  • Malfunction of the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set in the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU.
(1) Turn the ignition switch "LOCK" (OFF) indoors, and then wait until the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU reaches normal operating temperature.
noteYou can observe the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU temperature on M.U.T.-IIISE data list item No. 2. (Refer to .)
(2) Erase the diagnosis code.
(3) Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(4) Check if diagnosis code is set.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Replace the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU (Refer to ).
A component protection has been triggered. This is not a malfunction.
