OPERATION
The BSW-ECU (master) communicates with the CVT-ECU via the gateway-ECU and CAN bus lines.
CHECK CONDITION
Ignition switch is in the "ON" position.
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION AND JUDGEMENT CRITERIA
When the BSW-ECU (master) receives an invalid selector lever position signal from the CVT-ECU for at least 1.5 seconds, the ECU sets diagnosis code No.C2336.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- The transmission system fails
- Malfunction of BSW-ECU (master)
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
1. Check if diagnosis code No. P0705 is set in the CVT-ECU.
2. M.U.T.-IIISE CVT system data list.- Item No. 60: Inhibitor SW: P
- Item No. 61: Inhibitor SW: R
- Item No. 62: Inhibitor SW: N
- Item No. 63: Inhibitor SW: D
3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
