  • When the ETACS-ECU of vehicles without KOS is replaced, the encrypted code of the ignition key needs to be registered to the ETACS-ECU. (If the encrypted code is not registered, the engine cannot be started. Register the encrypted code as described in Immobilizer System - How to Register Key ID .)
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGEMENT
ETACS-ECU sends the diagnosis code (U code) detection permission or prohibition signal to each ECU connected to the CAN bus line. If the A/C controller assembly (A/C-ECU) cannot receive the diagnosis code (U code) detection permission or prohibition signal for 5 seconds after turning the electric motor switch to ON position, diagnosis code U1190 will be set.

  • Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU
  • Malfunction of CAN bus line
