Code No. P2771: Transfer 4WD Low Switch Signal Failure <4WD>

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

When 4WD low switch ON signal is not sent from the transfer-ECU via CAN to the A/T-ECU for at least 0.5 seconds although the actual transfer gear ratio remains low, diagnosis code No. P2771 will be set.

PROBABLE CAUSES

Malfunction of the CAN
Malfunction of the transfer system
Malfunction of the A/T-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check for CAN communication system malfunction.

Q. Are diagnosis code No. U0001, U0100, U0114, U0121, U0141, U0155 set?

	Check and repair the CAN communication system.

	Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. M.U.T.-III other system diagnosis codes.

Check whether the transfer system diagnosis codes are set or not.

Q. Is the diagnosis code set?

	Diagnose the transfer system (Refer to GROUP 22A - Troubleshooting ).

	Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

1.Erase the set diagnosis code.
2.Road test the vehicle at "4L" or "4LLc" mode, and then check that no diagnosis codes are set.

Q. Is diagnosis code No. P2771 set?

	Replace the A/T-ECU.

	The procedure is complete.
