Code No. P1035: 12 V control power supply voltage too low
PROBABLE CAUSES
- The auxiliary battery is flat (The ignition switch remains at ON or ACC for long period, or not used for long period)
- Malfunction of the Auxiliary battery
- Loose auxiliary battery terminal
- ECU control power supply circuit system fails
- Malfunction of the DC/DC converter
- Malfunction of the REMCU
| note |
If the vehicle is left with the power supply mode of the electric motor switch at ACC or ON or the vehicle is not used for a long time, the diagnosis code may be stored.

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Auxiliary battery check
(Refer to GROUP 54A - Battery Test
.)
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Replace the Auxiliary battery. (Refer to GROUP 54A - Battery
.)
STEP 2. Use M.U.T.-III to confirm a diagnosis code of other systems.
Check whether the PHEV-ECU stores a DC/DC converter-related diagnosis code. (Refer to
.)
Q.
Is diagnosis code stored?
Diagnose the system according to the stored diagnosis code.
Go to Step 3.
STEP 3. IGCT relay check
Refer to
.
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Replace the IGCT relay. Then go to Step 6.
STEP 4. Measure the resistance at the REMCU connector.
(1)Disconnect the REMCU connector.
(2)Remove the IGCT relay.
(3)Measure the resistance between the IGCT terminal and the IGCT relay. OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)
Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 6.
Replace the IGCT relay. Then go to Step 5.
STEP 5. Check whether the diagnosis code is stored again.
Check again if the diagnosis code is stored in the REMCU.
(1)Erase the stored diagnosis code.
(2)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: OFF
(3)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
(4)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: OFF
(5)Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
(6)Check if the diagnosis code is stored.
Q.
Is diagnosis code stored?
Replace the REMCU. (Refer to
.) Then go to Step 6.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions
).
STEP 6.
Return to Step 1.
This diagnosis is complete.
