SELECT LEVER REMINDER

When the driver’s door is opened while the electric motor switch is in the ON position and the shift position is other than P, the ETACS-ECU sounds the buzzer to alert the driver that the selector lever is not moved back to the P position.

ELECTRIC MOTOR REMINDER

When the driver’s door is opened while the key reminder switch is OFF (electric motor key is inserted to the key cylinder), the ETACS-ECU sounds the buzzer to alert the driver that the key is not removed.
note If the buzzer sounding condition overlaps with the buzzer whose priority is higher, the one with higher priority sounds.

SEAT BELT REMINDER


When the electric motor switch is in the ON position, based on the seat belt switch signal (driver’s seat belt or front passenger’s seat belt) and vehicle speed signal, the ETACS-ECU controls the sounding of buzzer as well as the illumination/flashing of seat belt warning lamp according to the following conditions. (Timer activation)


With the seat belt switch turned ON (the driver’s seat belt or front passenger’s seat belt is not fastened), the buzzer sounds for 6 seconds after the electric motor switch is turned ON (timer activation). Starting when 60 seconds have elapsed after the electric motor switch is turned ON, when conditions "seat belt switch is turned ON" and "vehicle speed is 8 km/h or more" are met, with 0.5-second delay, the cycle of 5-second buzzer sounding with 3-second interval is repeated for 12 times (timer activation). The seat belt warning lamp continues to be illuminated while the seat belt switch is ON and the electric motor switch is ON, but it flashes in synchronisation with the sounding of buzzer.
note
  1. While the timer is activated, when the electric motor switch is turned OFF or the seat belt switch is turned OFF (the driver’s seat belt and the front passenger’s seat belt are fastened), the buzzer stops sounding immediately.
  2. Once 12 times of buzzer soundings are performed, the next sounding of the buzzer is not performed until the vehicle speed becomes 3 km/h or less, even if the conditions are met. However, if the seat belt switch is turned from OFF to ON after 12 times of buzzer soundings, it makes the buzzer sounding conditions to be met again, and the buzzer sounds.
  3. If the buzzer sounding condition overlaps with the buzzer whose priority is higher, the one with higher priority sounds and only the warning lamp illuminates.
  4. When the seat belt switch is turned on within 60 seconds after the electric motor switch is turned to the ON position, the ETACS-ECU controls the seat belt reminder according to vehicle speed.

DOOR AJAR WARNING BUZZER <INITIAL SETTING: WITH FUNCTION>

With the door ajar, when the vehicle speed exceeds 8 km/h, the ETACS-ECU sounds the buzzer and flashes the door ajar warning lamp on combination meter in synchronisation with the buzzer in order to notify the driver of the door ajar status.
note Using the customisation function, the output method of door ajar warning buzzer can be set. (Refer to .)

LAMP REMINDER BUZZER

With the electric motor switch in the OFF position, when the driver’s door is opened while the taillamp or the headlamp is ON, the ETACS-ECU sounds the buzzer continuously to alert the driver that the lamp is still ON.
However, when the taillamp and headlamp are turned OFF by the headlamp automatic shutdown function, the buzzer does not sound.

TURN-SIGNAL LAMP OPERATION SOUND FUNCTION <INITIAL SETTING: TONE 1>

ETACS-ECU sounds the buzzer in synchronisation with the flashing of turn-signal lamp and hazard lamp.
note Using the adjustment function, the tone of the turn-signal lamp operation sound can be changed.(Refer to .)
