Diagnosis Procedure
Description
The trunk warning while the trunk lid is fully closed.
Trunk warning is not displayed while the trunk lid is not fully closed.
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK BCM INPUT SIGNAL
Connect CONSULT‐III and inspect the BCM input signals. Refer to
Component Function Check
.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>>
GO TO 2.
NO
>>
GO TO 3.
2.CHECK COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL
Connect CONSULT‐III.
Select “DATA MONITOR” for the “METER/M&A”, and then check the “DOOR W/L” monitor value.
DOOR W/L
Trunk lid open
: On
Trunk lid closed
:Off
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>>
Replace the combination meter.
NO
>>
Replace BCM. Refer to
Removal and Installation
.
3.CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Perform the trunk lid opener switch signal circuit inspection. Refer to
Diagnosis Procedure
.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>>
GO TO 4.
NO
>>
Repair the harnesses or connectors.
4.CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH
Perform the unit inspection of trunk lid opener switch. Refer to
Component Inspection
.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
>>
Replace the combination meter.
NO
>>
Replace the trunk lid opener switch. Refer to
Removal and Installation
.
