SET-UP SWITCH (VDC)

Check that the R mode indicator lamp (next to the switch) illuminates when pulling up the set-up switch (VDC) for approximately 1 second or more.

YES>>GO TO 2.

NO>>Check the set-up switch (VDC). Refer to Diagnosis Procedure (GT-R certified NISSAN dealer).

Check that the OFF mode indicator lamp (next to the switch) illuminates when pushing down the set-up switch (VDC) for approximately 1 second or more.

YES>>GO TO 3.

NO>>Check the set-up switch (VDC). Refer to Diagnosis Procedure (GT-R certified NISSAN dealer).

Check that the VDC OFF indicator lamp in the combination meter illuminates when pushing down the set-up switch (VDC) for approximately 1 second or more.

YES>>INSPECTION END

NO>>Check the set-up switch (VDC). Refer to Diagnosis Procedure (GT-R certified NISSAN dealer).

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) connector.
3. Disconnect set-up switch (VDC) connector.
4. Check terminal for deformation, disconnection, looseness, etc.

YES>>GO TO 2.

NO>>Repair or replace error-detected parts.

Check set-up switch (VDC). Refer to Component Inspection (GT-R certified NISSAN dealer).

YES>>GO TO 3.

NO>>Set-up switch (VDC) is malfunctioning. Replace set-up switch (VDC).

1. Check the continuity between set-up switch (VDC) harness connector and ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.

2. Check the continuity between the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and ground.

3. Check the continuity between set-up switch (VDC) harness connector and ground.

YES>>GO TO 4.

NO>>If there is an open or short in the harness, repair or replace the harness.

Check that the VDC OFF indicator lamp in the combination meter illuminates when pushing down the set-up switch (VDC) for approximately 1 second or more.

YES>>INSPECTION END

NO>>Repair or replace combination meter.

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect set-up switch (VDC) connector.
3. Check the continuity between set-up switch (VDC) connector terminals.
