BCM detects malfunctioning of steering lock unit before steering unlocking.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
Press the push-button ignition switch, when steering is locked.
Check “Self diagnostic result” with CONSULT-III.
Is DTC detected?
YES

Diagnosis Procedure
1.INSPECTION START
Turn ignition switch ON.
Check “Self diagnostic result” with CONSULT-III.
Touch “ERASE”.
Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure.

YES

Replace steering lock unit.
NO
