Body Lubrication and Maintenance

Body lubrication should be performed every 6 months/6000 miles (10,000 km) on the ff-1 and at recommended intervals on all other models.

Apply multi-purpose chassis grease to the following areas:

• Hood hinges, lock, and striker
• Door hinges, latch, and striker
• Trunk hinges and striker

NOTE: Use grease sparingly on the door and trunk strikers, as they may come into contact with clothing.

Use powdered graphite to lubricate the following items:

• Door key lock cylinders
• Trunk key lock cylinders

NOTE: Do not use oil or grease to lubricate the insides of lock cylinders.

Use silicone lubricant to preserve the rubber weather stripping around the doors and trunk.
