SERVICING

1. Inspect the hoses to the canister for holes, cracks or other damage.
2. Check the purge lines from the canister for proper installation.
3. Replace the canister and/or hoses if damaged.
4. On 1977–79 models a canister filter located in the bottom should be replaced every 25,000 miles (40,000 km).
