Oil Pan

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

To remove the oil pan, it is not necessary that the engine be removed from the vehicle.

Fig. 1: Remove the oil pan bolts . . .

  1. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil from the engine.
  2. Remove the attaching bolts which hold the oil pan to the bottom of the crankcase, and remove the oil pan.

    Fig. 3: Clean the gasket mating surfaces

  3. Remove the oil pan gasket and clean the mating surfaces of the oil pan and the crankcase.
  4. Install in the reverse order of removal using a new gasket. Tighten the bolts until snug
