- Be sure that the throttle valve is in the idle (closed) position.
- The dashpot stem should be able to move about 4mm beyond the throttle lever's
idle position.
- If the stem does not move the correct distance, adjust the dashpot by loosening
its locknut and rotating the dashpot assembly until the proper amount of movement
is obtained.
- Tighten the locknut and recheck dashpot stem movement.
