NOTE: This procedure must be performed prior to servicing any
component of the fuel injection system which contains fuel because of the high
pressures in the fuel lines.
- Disengage the fuel pump connector at the fuel pump.
- Crank the engine for 5 seconds or more to relieve the fuel pressure. If
the engine starts during this time, allow it to run until it stalls.
- Engage the fuel pump connector.
