- Raise and support the vehicle with jackstands.
- Position a drain pan under the rear of the transaxle, to catch the excess
oil from the transaxle; plug the transaxle opening (if necessary).
- Remove the driveshaft flange-to-rear differential flange bolts and separate
the driveshaft from the differential flange.
- While supporting the rear of the driveshaft, gently pull it rearward to
remove it from the vehicle.
- To install, reverse the above process. Tighten the center bearing-to-chassis
bolts to 25–33 ft. lb. (33–44 Nm) and the driveshaft-to-rear differential
flange bolts to 13–20 ft. lbs. (17–27 Nm) Check and/or refill
the transaxle.
