Instrument Panel and Pads

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2. Remove the trim panel on the drivers side and the luggage shelf on the front passenger side.

   Fig. 2: Remove the fasteners at the top of the instrument panel

3. Remove the radio or console box.
4. Remove the steering column attaching bolts.
5. Disconnect the speedometer cable.
6. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness.
7. Disconnect the cables and vacuum hoses for the heater control.
8. Remove the fasteners on the side pillars.
9. Unfasten the clips and remove the defroster grille.
10. Remove the fasteners at the top of the instrument panel.
11. Remove the defroster and ventilator ducts.
12. Remove the instrument panel.

    To install:

13. Install the instrument panel.
14. Install the defroster and ventilator ducts.
15. Install the defroster grille and fasten the clips.
16. Engage any electrical connections, wires, or hoses that were removed.
17. Fasten the steering column attaching bolts.
18. Install the console box or radio.
19. Install the luggage shelf and the trim panel.
20. Connect the negative battery cable.
