Seat Belt Systems

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Front
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear cushion and rear back rest (if necessary).
  3. Remove the side sill cover, rear pillar trim and/or the rear quarter trim panel (if necessary).
  4. Remove the outer belt as follows.
    1. Lap belt anchor bolt and the shoulder belt anchor bolt.
    2. Felt guide and retractor bolt.
  5. Unfasten the inner belt anchor bolt, disconnect the seat belt switch (if equipped) and then remove the inner belt.
  6. Installation is the reversal of removal.
  7. Torque the anchor bolts to 18–25 ft. lbs. (25–34 Nm).
Rear
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion and outer anchor bolt.
  2. Unfasten the inner anchor bolt and remove the belt.
  3. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  4. Tighten the anchor bolts to 18–25 ft. lbs. (25–34 Nm).
