SYSTEM BLEEDING

NOTE: Be sure the power steering reservoir is filled with fluid.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle safely on jackstands.
  2. With the engine running, turn the steering wheel back and forth, from lock to lock, until the air is removed from the fluid.

NOTE: Air is purged from the system, when no more bubbles can be seen in the reservoir.

  3. Lower the vehicle, recheck the reservoir fluid level and correct, as required.
