NOTE: This procedure must be performed prior to servicing any
component of the fuel injection system.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning
of this section.
- Remove the rear seat, then pull the floor mat up.
- Detach the fuel pump harness from the fuel tank.
- Crank the engine for 5 seconds or more to relieve the fuel pressure. If
the engine starts during this time, allow it to run until it stalls.
- After performing the required service, connect the fuel pump harness.

- Crank the engine for 5 seconds or more to relieve the fuel pressure. If
the engine starts during this time, allow it to run until it stalls.
- After performing the required service, connect the fuel pump harness.
