Fuel System Pressure

RELIEVING

NOTE: This procedure must be performed prior to servicing any component of the fuel injection system.

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Disconnect the fuel pump harness at the fuel pump, under the rear seat access panel.
3. Crank the engine for 5 seconds or more to relieve the fuel pressure. If the engine starts during this time, allow it to run until it stalls.
4. Connect the fuel pump harness after repairs are completed.
