DISARMING

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the positive battery cable.
4. Wait more than 20 seconds to allow the air bag system to deplete its backup power before starting work.
5. To rearm the air bag system, reconnect the positive, then the negative battery cables.
