Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Negative battery cable
- Wheel
- Axle nut, unstake the nut before attempting removal
- Stabilizer link from the transverse link
- Transverse link arm from the knuckle
- Halfshaft-to-transaxle roll/spring pin and discard it
- Sway bar bracket

- Halfshaft from the transaxle
- Halfshaft from the hub using puller 92707000
To install:
Install or connect the following:
- Halfshaft into the hub
Using installer 922431000 and adapter 927390000, pull the halfshaft through the hub.

Install or connect the following:

Temporarily tighten a new axle nut
Align the halfshaft roll/spring pin hole
Halfshaft onto the transaxle
New pin.
Transverse link to the knuckle and tighten a new self-locking nut to 29-43 ft. lbs. (39-59 Nm)
Sway bar bracket
New axle nut to 152 ft. lbs. (206 Nm) and stake the nut
Wheel
