Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Ground cable from battery
   • Connector and terminal from alternator
   • V-belt cover
   • Front side V-belt
   • Bolts connecting alternator onto bracket
   • Alternator

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Bolts connecting alternator onto bracket
     1. Torque to: 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm)

     CAUTION
     Check and adjust the V-belt tension

   • Front side V-belt
   • V-belt cover
   • Connector and terminal to alternator
   • Ground cable to battery
