To Remove:
CAUTION
Be certain to both loosen and retighten axle nuts after removing
the wheel, to avoid wheel bearing damage.
Note: If it is difficult to remove brake drum;
Note: If brake drum is difficult to remove;
CAUTION
Cover open end of the wheel cylinder to prevent the entry of foreign
materials.
CAUTION
Discard old self-locking nut. Replace with a new one.
CAUTION

Note: If it is hard to remove, use STs.
CAUTION
Be careful not to damage the oil seal lip when removing rear drive
shaft.
When rear drive shaft is to be replaced, also replace inner oil seal with a new one
To Install:
CAUTION
Use a new self-locking nut. Tightening torque: 196 Nm (20 kgf-cm,
145 ft. lbs.)
CAUTION
Be careful not to damage inner oil seal lip.
CAUTION
Use a new self-locking nut. Torque to: 101 ft. lbs., 397 kgf-cm,
(137 Nm).
CAUTION
Use a new self-locking nut. Torque to: 83 ft. lbs., 152
kgf-cm, (113 Nm).
CAUTION
Use a new self-locking nut. Torque to: 33 ft. lbs., 50 kgf-cm, (44
Nm).
CAUTION
Use a new axle nut.
CAUTION
Always tighten axle nut before installing the wheel on the vehicle.
If the wheel is installed and comes in contact with the ground when the
axle nut is loose, the wheel bearings may be damaged.
CAUTION
Be sure to tighten the axle nut to specified torque. Do not over tighten
this may damage the wheel bearing.
