Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
2. Set tires to straight-ahead position.
3. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Ground cable from battery
   • Airbag module

   • Steering wheel nut
   • Steering wheel from shaft using steering puller

Note: Make marks on steering wheel and steering column in advance.

To Install:

1. Align center of roll connector

   Note: Align matching marks on steering wheel and steering column.

2. Install or connect the following:

   CAUTION
   Insert roll connector guide pin into guide hole on lower end of surface of steering wheel to prevent damage. Draw out airbag system connector, horn connector and cruise control connectors from guide hole of steering wheel lower end.

   • Steering wheel onto steering shaft
   • Steering wheel nut
     1. Torque to: 32.5 ft. lbs. (44 Nm)
   • Airbag module
   • Ground cable to battery
