Removal & Installation

To Remove:

1. Set vehicle on a lift
2. Disconnect or remove the following
   • Ground cable from battery
   • Wheel

   • Cotter pin from the ball stud
   • Castle nut
   • Ball stud from the transverse link
   • Ball joint to housing bolt
   • Ball joint from the housing

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following
   • Ball joint onto housing
   • Torque specification (Bolt): 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.)

     CAUTION
     Do not apply grease to tapered portion of ball stud.

   • Ball joint to transverse link
   • Torque specification (Castle nut): 39 Nm (29 ft. Lbs.)
2. Retighten castle nut further within 60°until a slot in castle nut is aligned with the hole in ball stud end
3. Insert new cotter pin and bend it around castle nut
4. Install front wheel
