REMOVAL
2. Removal of the 2-way valve
(1) Disconnect the drain hose from the nipple on the upper side of the 2-way valve.
(2) Slide the 2 hose clamps, and disconnect the evaporation hose and the drain hose.
(3) Release the clamp, and remove the 2-way valve from the canister bracket A.
3. Removal of the charcoal canister ASSY
(1) Slide the 3 hose clamps, and remove the evaporation hose and purge hose from the charcoal canister ASSY.
(2) Disconnect the drain hose from the charcoal canister ASSY.
(3) Remove the 2 bolts and the nut, and remove the charcoal canister ASSY.
INSTALLATION
1. Installation of the charcoal canister ASSY.
(1) With 3 nuts, install bracket A and bracket B on the charcoal canister ASSY.
Standard value:

Tightening torque=18N·m

(2) With 2 bolts and a nut, install the charcoal canister ASSY.
Standard value:

Tightening torque=7.5N·m

77kgf·cm}
{5.5ft·lbf}
(3) Connect the drain hose.
(4) Connect the evaporation hose and the purge hose.
2. Installation of the 2-way valve
(1) Install the 2-way valve on the canister bracket A.
(2) Connect the 2 evaporation hoses and the drain hose to the 2-way valve.
UNIT INSPECTION
1. Inspection of the charcoal canister ASSY
(1) Visual inspection
(a) Inspect for cracks or damage.
(b) Inspect for cracks, damage, or looseness in the hoses.
2. Inspection of the 2-way valve
(1) Inspect for cracks or damage in the 2-way valve.
(2) Connect a Mighty Vac to the fuel tank side of the 2-way valve.

(3) When you create positive pressure with the Mighty Vac, after the needle of the Might Vac gauge rose to 3.66 to 5.20 kPa {0.04 to 0.05 kgf/cm2}, check that it decreases.
(4) When you create negative pressure with the Mighty Vac, check that the needle of the Might Vac gauge does not rise.
