CHECKING / CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC CODES
1. Checking diagnostic codes (with the SSM3)
(1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
(2) Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
(3) Turn the ignition to IG ON and use the SSM3 display to select [Each System Check] → [Integ. unit mode] → [Diagnostic Code(s) Display] to bring up the diagnostic code confirmation screen.
(4) Check the diagnostic codes.
2. Clearing of recorded diagnostic codes (with the SSM3)
(1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
(2) Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
(3) Turn the ignition to IG ON and use the SSM3 display to select [Each System Check] → [Integ. unit mode] → [Clear Memory].
(4) Select [Deletion] to delete the diagnostic codes.
CAUTION:
·If deletion is not possible, retry it after turning the ignition to IG OFF and then on again.
·Do not use the SSM3 to delete diagnostic codes until the cause of the trouble has been identified.

CURRENT DATA DISPLAY & SAVE / SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK MODE
1. Data monitor list
(1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
(2) Connect the SSM3 to the DLC3.
(3) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(4) Follow the SSM3 display and select [Each System Check] → [Integ. unit mode] → [Current Data Display & Check] to bring up the data monitor item list.
(5) Use the data monitor to judge whether a component is working or not, and to narrow down the location of trouble.
