(2) Securing of airbag (driver’s airbag module)
(a) Connect the following SSTs together.
SST
98299PA030 (airbag deployment tool)
98299SA010 (test harness adapter D)
(b) Connect the SST (98299SA010) to the airbag (driver’s airbag module), and lock it securely.
CAUTION:
Lock the SST (98299SA010) connector securely.
(c) Pass the SST (98299SA010) through the disc wheel with tire.
(d) Using wiring harnesses with a core (A in the figure) of 1.25 mm2 {0.00194 sq in} or more, secure the airbag (driver’s airbag module) to a disc wheel.

Use three wiring harnesses as a unit (without slack) |
WARNING:
Strictly follow the two instructions below. Failure to do so may result in serious damage suffered by flying debris of the deployed airbag (driver’s airbag module) or tire, etc.
·When activating the airbag (driver’s airbag module), a force of approx. 1 t is applied on the wiring harnesses. Therefore, secure the module tightly with triple wiring harnesses without slack.
·As shown in the figure, be sure to install the airbag (driver’s airbag module) with the deploying side facing upward.
