REMOVAL
NOTE:
The following procedure is for LH side. Perform the same procedures for the RH and LH side.
4. Removal of the front bumper side support LH
(1) Using a clip remover, release the 2 clamps, and disconnect the wiring harnesses.
(2) Remove bolt <A>.
(3) Remove the 3 <B> bolts and remove the front bumper side support LH.
5. Removal of the headlight ASSY LH
WARNING:
When the headlights are ON, or just after switching to OFF, the headlight light control computer ASSY may be hot, so check that it has cooled down before performing this task.
(1) Disconnect each connector.
(2) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.
(3) Remove the bolt and release the tab, and remove the headlight ASSY LH.
DISASSEMBLY
NOTE:
The following procedure is for LH side. Perform the same procedures for the RH and LH side.
1. Removal of the discharge headlight bulb
(1) Turn in the direction of the arrow in the figure, and remove the headlight cover.
(2) Turn in the direction of the arrow in the figure, and disconnect the socket of the headlight light control computer ASSY LH.
(3) In the order shown in the figure, release the lock of the set spring, and remove the discharge headlight bulb.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the glass portion of the bulb.
2. Removal of the front turn signal light bulb
(1) Turn in the direction of the arrow in the figure, and remove the front turn signal light bulb as a unit with the front turn signal light socket.
(2) Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal light socket.
3. Removal of the clearance bulb
NOTE:
Because it is one unit with the headlight ASSY, it cannot be removed.
4. Removal of the headlight light control computer ASSY LH
(1) Remove the 4 screws.
(2) Disconnect the connector and remove the headlight light control computer ASSY LH.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the reflector or the headlight housing.
5. Removal of the headlight gasket
(1) Remove the headlight gasket.
CAUTION:
Because it may allow water to enter, once you have removed the gasket, be sure to replace it with a new headlight gasket.
ASSEMBLY
NOTE:
The following procedure is for LH side. Perform the same procedures for the RH and LH side.
1. Installation of the headlight gasket
(1) Install a new headlight gasket.
2. Installation of the headlight light control computer ASSY LH
(1) Connect the connector, and put the socket part of the headlight light control computer ASSY LH through the headlight ASSY LH.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the reflector or the headlight housing.
(2) Using 4 screws, install the headlight light control computer ASSY LH.
3. Installation of the front turn signal light bulb
(1) Turn in the direction of the arrow in the figure, and install the front turn signal light bulb.
4. Installation of the discharge headlight bulb
(1) In the order shown in the figure, lock the set spring, and install the discharge headlight bulb.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the glass portion of the bulb.
(2) Turn in the direction of the arrow in the figure, and connect the socket of the headlight light control computer ASSY LH.
(3) Turn in the direction of the arrow in the figure, and install the headlight cover.

INSTALLATION
NOTE:
The following procedure is for LH side. Perform the same procedures for the RH and LH side.
1. Installation of the headlight ASSY LH
(1) Connect each connector.
(2) Fit in the tab.
(3) Install the clip.
(4) Using the bolt, install the headlight ASSY LH.

2. Installation of the front bumper side support LH
(1) Install bolt <A>.

Tightening torque=7.5N·m

(2) Using the 3 <B> bolts, install the front bumper side support LH.
Standard value:

Tightening torque=7.5N·m

(3) Fit in the 2 clamps and install the wiring harnesses.
4. Connection of the battery ground terminal

Tightening torque=6.0N·m

ADJUSTMENT
NOTE:
The following procedure is for LH side. Perform the same procedures for the RH and LH side.
1. Procedure before adjusting the headlights
NOTE:
Perform the headlight adjustment with the low beams.
(1) Fill up the fuel tank.
(2) Check that there is the specified amount of oil.
(3) Check that there is the specified amount of coolant.
(5) Shake the car up and down, and let the suspension settle.
(6) Have 1 person get in the driver's seat.
(7) Start the engine and charge the battery.
(8) Measure the distance between the center of the low / high beam bulbs, and the height of the bulbs' center.

(9) Face the measuring panel to the front of the vehicle.

(10) Turn the headlights on with low beams.
(11) If they vary greatly from the standard line, adjust the beams for the low beams so that the line separating light and darkness matches the position of the standard line.

CAUTION:
The aiming screw is adjusted according to the way it is tightened. (When adjusting in the loosening direction, tighten it again after loosening it.)
