ECM Removal and Installation
Precautions: General safety (00)
NOTICE:
The ECM is a precision unit and can be easily damaged.
Handle the ECM carefully and do not expose it to large shock.
NOTE:
After ECM is replaced with new one, perform Procedure after ECM Replacement:K14C.
Removal
1)Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
2)Turn lock lever (1) in arrow direction until it stops.
Then, disconnect connectors from ECM.
Then, disconnect connectors from ECM.
3)Remove ECM (1) from its bracket by removing ECM mounting nuts (2).
4)Remove ECM bracket (3), if necessary.
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following point.
•Connect connectors to ECM as follows:
a.Check that lock lever of ECM connectors is in unlocked position.
b.Insert ECM connectors to ECM until they stop with lock lever in unlocked position.
c.Pull lock lever up to lock ECM connectors securely.
